Irving Cares

i Fratelli supports Irving Cares, which is dedicated to identifying and providing needy residents with temporary assistance and training to promote self-sufficiency.  Irving Cares provides financial assistance (mortgage, rent, utilities), job-training and employment assistance, and transportation to and from doctors’ offices.  A food pantry is maintained by Irving Cares for those in need.

Cole Brothers David and George presented a check for $219.94 to the DFW Humane Society today.  Humane Society supporters purchased over a thousand dollars worth of i Fratelli pizza on April 2, 2012.  The Coles  were so impressed with the result that i Fratelli gave back 20% of the sales to the shelter.

Sarah Kammerer (pictured) is the Executive Director of the DFW Humane Society, which is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization founded in 1967.  It is a no-kill shelter dedicated to giving homeless and unwanted pets a second chance in life through adoption.  The shelter houses about 80-100 animals at any given time and takes in strays and owner-released pets from throughout the DFW Metroplex.  The shelter depends solely on caring people for its survival.  All photos by Cathy Keane.

Celebrate Architecture Month with a pizza purchase benefiting the Dallas Center for Architecture. Founded by AIA Dallas in 2008, the Dallas Center for Architecture is one of the nation’s first centers devoted to bringing the public more actively into the conversation about the importance of architecture and design to transform the way we live.  We examine a variety of topics–from sustainability and design excellence to preservation and urban planning.

DCFA presents a variety of public programs, including walking tours, film screenings, exhibitions, panel discussions and family programs.  We also have a scholarship/traveling fellowship program that awards thousands of dollars to the next generation of architects and design professionals.
